Carpentry - Missed Opportunity
When I think back to when I was just a young Fox, I remember how much I loved working with my hands. That was of course before the "Digital Age", which I absolutely HATE ! I think it makes us lazy and not using the power of our brains... Anyway...
I remember I was exposed to many cool things that I would not truly appreciate until much later in life. Cool things like : Home Economics, Gym, and Wood Shop classes. I think I have my fondest memories in Woodshop class... (Home Economics a close 2nd, but DAM my Science Teacher was Freakin HOT : Michelle Baldwin, lol) No really, she was... Anyway, I found a genuine sense of personal satisfaction from creating something with my own two hands. Something that was all of my own. Looking back over my seriously wasted lifetime, I now see so much clarity in hindsight. You know how it's often said that hindsight is 20/20... Yeah... THAT ! I now see and strongly feel that I would have been much happier going into a hands-on creative field like Carpentry or HVAC. More-so Carpentry...
No one can see or predict the future. However, who would have ever known that this thing called "Tiny Houses" would become such a hot thing and now becoming an almost essential part of everyday survival for most people these days. Especially since the world has changed so much and the economy has been beaten and abused like an over tenderized piece of meat that was already full of holes, to begin with ! With all the things that I could do right now... If I had a chance to get into the Carpentry / Home Building field, I would Absolutely JUMP at the chance. One VERY STRONG lesson that I have learned in my wasted lifetime is : Money over Personal Happiness is the FAST TRACK to more misery than any human can possibly afford $$$. Believe it...

My NEXT Move is... TINY !
Like the True Virgo that I am, I suffered in silence for a very long time. My life has been an up and down battle. However, I am very happy to say that, I now have my life stabilized and under control. So, what's next for me...?
In an effort to achieve my dreams and continue pushing my life forward in this troubled economy... I think it's time to go : Tiny !
I'm going to start building my own Tiny House... I am now designing it and will have it built by a
professional. I am going to do a Tiny House on a
triple axle trailer, with a double loft on either side up top and a
staircase, NOT A LADDER ! The only question is, should I do a
composting toilet or a traditional flushing toilet (or maybe both, for emergencies, lol) ? I have seen many different sizes and designs of Tiny
Homes. I like this one, but I want the inside modeled to my specification. All Tiny Homes are unique. My major concerns are insulation, washer / dryer and solar panels bolted on the rooftop.
In an effort to achieve my dreams and continue pushing my life forward in this troubled economy... I think it's time to go : Tiny !
This way, I can Totally and Completely revamp my life, wipe out all my bills, live off the grid and live free, save some money in my high-interest savings account and do something that I've NEVER DONE BEFORE...
: LIVE ! My next move is going to be Tiny. I LOVE HGTV & DIY NETWORK...

Tiny House Models and Ideas
Well... As most of you know... I've finally decided to build my own Tiny House. After 10+ years of research and planning, I am finally in the beginning design phase. I have a few ideas of the types of designs and models that I like and want to model my own Tiny House after.
So, here are a few photos of Tiny House models below that I like, and that caught my eye. I want to do a Triple Axel, with a double loft on either side of the upper level and 1 bedroom on the lower level. And, I DEFINITELY want a REAL STAIRCASE, NOT a ladder. I'm just not sure if I want to do a composting toilet or a real flushing toilet.

I'm Thinking....small !
I'm thinking "small" in 2017. Tiny to be exact... I have been looking into Tiny Homes for quite a few years now. After much research and personal evaluation, I'm finally ready to take the BIG plunge and go tiny...
Recently, I attended a Tiny House show in Kissimmee, Florida. Instead of just researching on the internet and watching it on TV, I actually got out to see them in person. I went inside of everyone one of them. There were many different designs and sizes. Believe it or not, Tiny Homes sometimes aren't so Tiny ! That is actually a very good thing. Especially when it comes to local permit and zoning laws. I just can't understand why close-minded, prejudice governments want to make it so hard for people to live the way THEY WANT TOO.
In my opinion, it's the best thing to do in this day and age. I mean after all, We as human beings need to start scaling back the imprint, damage and waste that we have imposed here on our planet. Mother Earth has given so much to us, we need to start giving back to our earth and environment. There is also another side to this. The financial and quality of life impact.
I have lived in Condo's, Apartments, Houses and even in Motels (sadly). It was all SUPER EXPENSIVE, Grossly over priced and NOT worth the hype that the bricks were built on. The ones that had bricks anyway, lol. The fact is that we have ALL been living way beyond our means. It's time we STOP... Come to our senses and realize that we are killing ourselves and our planet in the process. Who are we fooling anyway ? Do we really need such large spaces ? Do we need such expensive ways of life ? Do we need to sacrifice our families and ways of life just to work all those endless hours for pennies ? And for what ? To make these BIG Corporations richer than what they already are ! No thanks... I'm using the common sense of my elders and I'm now scaling back and even saving money (and my impact on our planet too).
I'm now preparing the design plans to build my own Tiny House. After seeing them in person at the recent TH show in Heritage Park in Kissimmee, FL., I know EXACTLY how I want mine build and modeled. I will be doing more TH Blogs and LIVE Videos soon. For now... As of the date and writing of this blog entry... This marks the beginning of my own journey to go Tiny and reduce my impact on our planet as well as my wallet. Time to start the process of flushing all those bills right down the toilet and start investing in : MYSELF !
Oh and by the way... Here are a few photos from my recent trip to The Kissimmee, FL Tiny House Show. It was a Super Fun day and a seriously cool experience !
