Immigrant Hope

       I feel so sorry for all the immigrants who come here to the United States in search of a better life, yet all they seem to find is hate, rejection, racism, high cost of living and political difficulties.  It's truly not fair to any human being, no matter where you come from. The image of the United States to people around the world is a place of hope, freedom, opportunity and the chance to start a whole new life.  Sadly, the reality is that this country is anything but that for most... 

       Listen... I once wrote a past blog post about all the political unrest and my confusion as to why immigrants keep coming here.  They continue to come to a place where they are not wanted or treated well ?  I don't think people understood that post.  The level of hatred and violence against foreigners here in the United States is astronomical now.  Meanwhile...  Many American citizens now want to get the hell OUT of this sinking ship.  The image of this country does not match the reality of living here and most don't realize it until they actually get here, to only then be detained, interrogated and finally deported.  It's so sad and they just don't deserve that.  All they want is a better life.  A peaceful life where they can work, raise a family and to be respected and protected.  To me, that's just being human.  To others, it seems to be an impossible dream.  In my past blog post, I said, of all the other countries on the planet earth, why would people still want to come to this hateful country ?  I still stand by that post.  

       Most immigrants don't understand the level of hate and rejection they will face in the United States, until they actually get here, only to regret their decision to come here, solely based on the "False Image of this Country".  Not paying attention to the REALITY of the state of the world today that's blasted all over the news and the internet world-wide.  Everyone deserves a nice peaceful life.  I just wish the hateful bigots in the United States understood that.  And YES, I SAID IT !

       Immigrants do NOT deserve to be treated poorly. It also reflects poorly on the United States people.  This is NOT what we are supposed to be about. This hate and bigotry does not make anyone look good.

FREEDOM

FREEDOM : Abused, Misused and Broken 

Freedom….  It is something that so many American people take for granted.  So fragile, so precious and if not fought for, can be lost so easily.  However, how much “FREEDOM” is too much ? 

The United States is “said” to be the greatest country on earth.  There are many people who would STRONGLY disagree.  Myself being one of them.  Don’t get me wrong, we Americans certainly have many advantages that so many other people could not even dream of.  Even something so basic as just holding hands with a special someone while walking down a public street and taking a selfie together.  Did you know that in certain countries, that can actually land you in JAIL !  It’s true…. As crazy as that sounds.  

However… We grossly take advantage of our freedoms and it then becomes a burden to us.  For example… The 2nd Amendment of the United States Constitution guarantees us the right to bear arms.  But at what co$t ?  The laws of our country have been misinterpreted and stretched beyond recognition.  The 2nd Amendment was NOT meant for a bunch of wackos and lunatics to be running through the streets of America, shooting down innocent victims at random, just because you “can”.

Understand this…. Just because you “CAN” do something or just because something is permitted by law (Like gun purchases), does “NOT” mean that you should.  People everyday go out and legally purchase alcohol and weed.  Then, they say, oh ok, that was easy. No big deal, right ?  Then, when they get to the point that they do it in excess, problems arise. Sickness and death may be something you want to think about.  Just saying… 

I would actually argue that we actually have too much freedom in this country.  There are things that we do everyday, that we don’t even think about, that in some countries would have you jailed and your entire family as well.  As crazy as that sounds, it’s true.  It can also be argued that not only do we have too much freedoms, we grossly stretch and abuse the freedoms that we currently have and we are thus causing them to be eroded quickly over time as we abuse them.

Finally, according to the World peace Index, the United States is actually one of the most violent countries in the world.  As I watch my local and national news daily, I am hard pressed to disagree.  Currently at the time of this post, The United States stands at number 132.  That’s not good.  As you look at the top 10 peaceful, non-violent countries, it is very telling of how far behind we are. The United States has a lot of work to do.  As some countries have less freedoms and harsher punishments to deter crimes, and with milder political conflict, they also have less violence, less civil unrest and less chaos.  The more “FREEDOM” there is, the more the general populations tend to “Run Wild” and FREE with no regard…. A lack of supported religious values or diminishing values thereof and negative mass media influence are also certainly factors as well. 

FREEDOM IS PRECIOUS

Support and Defend it. DON’T ABUSE and MISUSE IT.

FREEDOM

      As I look back on my like...  I can't help but wonder : Why did I have to learn lessons the HARD WAY ?  I have been in the most horrific situations unnecessarily.  So much of my life wasted unnecessarily, only because I made the wrong choices and I didn't listen to the advice of my elders.  In other words, I was told the stove was HOT, but I still had to touch it and get burned to truly "LEARN" (and retain and understand).  That being said...  Lets's talk about : FREEDOM !  

      Now, FREEDOM is a precious and fragile thing.  You can lose your freedom (and peace of mind) in more ways than you may think.  I bet the first thing you are thinking right now as you read this is that I am talking about people going to jail Right... : WRONG !  I have some news and food for thought, for all of you (my readers).  You can lose your freedom in many ways, other than just being put in a cage.  In fact, there are millions of "lost people" walking up and down the streets, than in any prison.  Did you know that in many regards, none of us in today's world are "TRULY FREE".  However, for the purposes of this blog entry today, I am specifically talking about, losing your freedom by your own misguided choices.

      Throughout my lifetime, as I look back..., WAAAAAYYYY  BACK...  I remember...  I had the opportunity to make choices that, at the time, I didn't see or was obviously made aware of.  However, I want to tell you that I am finally at a point in my lifetime, where I can make some choices that I wish I had made when I was in my late teens / early 20's.  That's so bad to admit openly, but it's true. However, times were much different back then.  I lost my freedom many years ago just by making 1 bad decision when I was about 18 / 19 years old.  If only I could have had a glimpse of my future, I swear...  Long story short...  Here is wisdom for all you young people out there.  If you are single and have no kids : DON'T !!!!  Protect your life, your body, your peace of mind, your future, and your FREEDOM.  Stay by yourself and put your energy into the one person that you will always overlook...  YOURSELF !  Some people say, "I don't want to be alone" or they are afraid of being alone.  STOP looking at the glass as half empty and look at the world of opportunities that you have right in front of you, without ANYONE, ANYTHING or ANY SITUATION standing in your way.  You are the first and only person that you should be thinking about right now !  You have the most golden opportunities sitting right in front of you if you can open your eyes and open your closed heart to see it.   

      Stay alone and enjoy your FREEDOM !  You have no idea how easy it is to lose it and how hard you will have to fight to get it back : IF YOU CAN EVER GET IT BACK ! 

      There are oceans of opportunities out there in life that you will never see until it's too late and you can't reach it anymore but once could and didn't know it, and you can only wish you could now...  So if no one has told you this yet, STOP...  Look around you...  WAKE UP FOOL and live your life.  My father always said : Son... It is those who are closest to you that can hurt you the most (and always do).  So peacefully and quietly eliminate everyone from your life that is no good to you and are holding you back.  Separate yourself from everything and everyone around you.  Get a fresh start.  Go somewhere, where you don't know anyone and no one knows you (on purpose and WITH a purpose).  Get a fresh start.  Don't be afraid.  Don't end up like me, over 40 years old, full of regrets, shoulda, coulda woulda's and no way to go back in time to recapture all those lost wasted years.  Live your dreams NOW, enjoy your freedom, and whatever you do, NEVER ALLOW ANYONE TO GET "TOO CLOSE" TO YOU.  After all, No one in life has your best interest in mind and in the heart than : YOU YOURSELF !  Freedom...  So precious and easy to lose...  So hard to protect and get back !  If you can...  BREAK THE CHAINS, don't have kids and steer clear of rotten, life-draining, dead-end relationships.  Put your life and your trust in GOD and stay to yourself.  Break the empty bondage.  Now move forward...
